Express Lane Texas, also called Interstate 35 E Express Lane or an Interstate Highway, is located in the state of Texas. It’s the eastern half of I-35. The toll is owned by LBJ Texpress. It supports the most popular toll payment methods: EZ Tag, TxTag, and Toll Tag.

Express Lane Texas – overview

Interstate 35 E (Express Lane Texas) serves the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. It splits into two branch routes: I-35 W and I-35E at Hillsboro. It is 97 miles (156 km) long. It travels concurrently with US Highway (US 67). The section from Dallas-Ellis County to Downtown Dallas is called South R.L. Thornton Freeway.

The T-35E TEXpress Lanes project was completed in 2017 when the express lanes were opened. This toll road connects Denton County to Dallas County. It is 18 miles long, featuring nearly 15 entrances and exits. There are two reversible lanes. The T-35E TEXpress lanes are managed to keep traffic moving 50 mph or faster. The speed limit is 75 mph. Toll rates are dynamic which means they fluctuate based on congestion in the lanes. There is a 50% discount for registered HOVs and motorcycles. The discount applies during peak travel periods.
